Things took a fatal turn following an energetic French Montana show in Philadelphia Thursday night. A 27-year-old man was shot to death just outside the rap star’s tour bus, reports TMZ.

Just before midnight, the Bad Boy Records rapper’s tour bus left a performance at the Theatre of Living Arts with a convoy of fans in tow. When the bus arrived at a Holiday Inn Express, where Montana was a guest, a small crowd formed in the area. According to Philly.com, a car pulled up and opened fire on the crowd, hitting the unidentified 27-year-old man in the abdomen and a 29-year-old man in the shoulder. The 27-year-old was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead. The second victim remains in stable condition.

Police investigating the scene found shell casings littered around Montana’s tour bus, however, they don’t believe the 28-year-old Bronx rapper was the intended target of the shooting. They think this may have been a dispute between rivaling fans. Still, Montana and the more than 20 occupants on his tour bus were questioned by police.

Seemingly annoyed at the interaction with authorities, Montana posted a picture on Instagram of a man being grilled by police with the caption, “Nobody got time for this s–.”

Montana was in Philadelphia on a promo tour, building anticipation for his oft-delayed debut album, Excuse My French, which is due in May.
