Rich Homie Quan Addresses Gay Rumors, Updates Father Condition and Rich Gang/Cash Money Signing
Back in August, Rich Homie Quan got caught up in gay rumors when his frequent collaborator Young Thug called Quan his “hubby.” RHQ stopped by Sway In The Morning to talk about a host of topics including the speculation he and Thug are more than just friends.“First and foremost, I try not to get into all the comments, cause it be so many. But at the same time, I see them. But if I respond back to that, that’s what they want me to do,” said Quan. “Everyone in Atlanta knows, me nor Young Thug is not gay. With Thug it’s different. It’s just his slang. I don’t take nothing of it. I know I ain’t gay. Everybody knows I ain’t gay.”While Rich Homie declared he is a straight man, Thug sparked even more rumors about his sexuality. In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, Thugger talked about his time in juvenile detention. He told the publication all he did while in the facility was “gamble, smoke and f**k” which led some people to question who exactly was Thug sleeping with during his stay in juvenile.
“No windows or nothing, like a real jail. Lot of punishment. I didn’t do s**t there but gamble, smoke and f**k,” said Thug.
Both Thug and Quan have close ties to the Cash Money camp. The two Atlanta rappers released a mixtape with CMB’s Birdman under the name Rich Gang. Despite all the current turmoil happening at the label with artists like Lil Wayne and Tyga, RHQ is still interested in making the business partnership with Cash Money official.
“I still would [sign to Cash Money] cause the relationship they have with Bird, that’s not the relationship I have,” explained Quan. “I don’t know their situation – and I try not to get into their situation – I just try and do what’s best for me. If that situation is right for Quan, of course I’m gonna take it if it makes sense.”
